Dr. Adam Edward Watkins is a poet, scholar, and educator. In each capacity, his focus is the same: to better understand the collaborative effort behind individual development, and to consider the ways in which the environment is useful to and implicated in this collaboration.

Dr. Watkins currently teaches writing, cultural studies, and first-year exploratory courses in the Purdue Honors College – a living, learning community.  He holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Literary Studies from Purdue University, an MFA in Poetry from Saint Mary’s College of California, and BA’s in Rhetoric and Finance from the University of Illinois. His first book of poetry — Dear, Companion — was published by Dream Horse Press in 2012.
